Hardware

Buy a tentacle.

Today that means a Flipper Zero you already own. A Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W joins it once our image is published: it is coming and is not available yet. An assembled tentacle in a case is still in development. On Android your phone is a tentacle by itself and needs nothing from this page.

Pi Zero USB Tentacle

Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W

Its single USB port carries both the keyboard signal and the power from the device you plug it into. No soldering.

  • Get the Zero 2 W; the "2 WH" works too. Other boards with USB-gadget support and Bluetooth LE may work but are untested.
  • You also need a microSD card and a data cable. Charge-only cables are the number one reason a tentacle does nothing.

Flipper Zero

If you already own one, you already own a tentacle: our app turns it into a keyboard for the device. Keyboard only for now; pointer support is still in progress.

Phone support in progress

You need a short USB-C data cable. The firmware the app needs will be stated here with the launch.

For everyone

Keep the phone looking at the screen.

The phone has to see the screen while your hands are on it. The least obvious purchase, and the best one.

Tentacles by other people.

When people build tentacles for machines we never thought of, we will list them here. Nothing yet. If you are building one, tell us.
